What is your hometown and what did you love the most about it?
Newnan, GA. I grew up in the country and in the middle of nowhere. I love the small town feel of how the town was when I grew up there most.
What is the first CD you ever bought?
No Doubt – Tragic Kingdom
What is the best concert you have ever been to?
I remember being a kid and going to my first concert ever. It was a pretty terrible ska show in an old abandoned train depot back in Georgia. The music was loud, the kids were crazy and the energy was real and raw. That was the best! The only intention was to entertain and be entertained. As I’ve seen more and more concerts over the years- I realize that is a rarity.
If you could pick the theme song to your life what would it be?
Kashmir- Led Zeppelin
What is your favorite thing to do on your days off?
I love taking scenic drives to places I’ve never been while blaring music that matches the scenery!
What is your favorite thing about your job/career?
The people I work with are the best and I love working for a company that is mindful of it’s employees as much as it’s clients! Not to mention the dedication to being the best damn sound company and constant, consistent improvement within. It’s truly inspiring to witness the dedication Jason has to creating a positive experience on all ends of Peaks Audio and Peaks ProEvents. I feel like the kindness, hard work, and determination crosses over to his employees because of the examples he sets by leading in this way! When I think about it, it’s really, very impressive! I’m grateful to be a part of such a company!
If you could trade lives with one person for a day, who would it be?
I enjoy living my own experience and learning my own lessons. =) Although, I think it would be interesting to be one of my kittens for a day…
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I travelled all over the country for about ten years for work. After going 100’s of places, I chose Flagstaff!!! It is the ONLY place that I have ever wanted to consistently come back to or felt a sense of “home”. I feel incredibly lucky to live in the one place I would choose! Although, it would be nice to visit outside of the country more.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
One of my most treasured childhood memories is going to the 1996 Atlanta Olypics with my Gigi who was on the committee. I remember feeling so special and lucky to witness people from all over the world coming together and knowing I was sitting with people who worked for years on this one event. I think I realized how big the world was and how much work was done behind the scenes for any type of event. That has given me a different and more grateful perspective whenever I attend any event- concert, sporting event, conference, etc.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
World tour. When I’m older, I want to travel down different types of roads abroad. I want to submerse myself in different cultures with no itinerary besides absorbing the differences and similarities in humans. I want to hear all the different sounds, see the different types and colors of art, and smell the different places.
